Start with the two front legs and locate the push button.
Before you start, locate the push button. You'll want to wrap the adhesive so the seam joins on the opposite side of the push button. That way, the seam will be out of your line of vision.

Press the adhesive down
Press the adhesive down as you slowly peel the paper back.
Wrap the adhesive one side at a time
Wrap the adhesive around the leg one side at a time, gently smoothing out any bubbles or ridges as you go.

Repeat the same steps for the back legs
For the back legs, wrap the adhesive so the seam joins on the opposite side of the push button. That way, the seam will be out of your line of vision. Repeat all other steps.
